Life is not always, as they say, “a walk in the park.“ There are some steep places, and some places where it's downright dangerous. In those spots, it doesn't matter how much money you have, how talented you are, or what degree you earned. In the everyday as well as in the rough times, we need the peace that God promises.
In the pages that follow, we'll explore what God tells us about Himself and ourselves, and we'll use the Bible as a field guide to help us to make sense of the world around us. We'll look at prayer and the role that it plays in our lives.
Sometimes the path of faith is clear, but other times, it's more obscure. My goal is to help cut the underbrush so you can see the trail more clearly, and together we can explore how to navigate some of the harder trail obstacles. We'll also point out the great vistas — the best places from which to view the sunset, so to speak. And of course, our horses are an integral part of each picture.
You're welcome to join us on this trail. There may spots where you and I may think differently, but that's okay. Hopefully the discussion will be good food for thought. You might also enjoy reading some of my favorite scriptures and about the insights they have given me.
