You can donate $10 (added to your cellphone bill) to the relief efforts in Haiti. 100% of every donation goes to the Red Cross. Text the word "Haiti" to 90999.

Keep Haiti in Our Prayers
I just want to take the time to send out my thoughts and prayers to all the people in Haiti and all others who have been affected by this earthquake! My blessings go out to all of you and may GOD bless and comfort you in your time of need.
For those interested in helping immediately, you can text "HAITI" to "90999" and give a donation of $10 which will automatically go to the Red Cross to help with the relief efforts and charges will go to your cell phone bill and/or you can text “YELE” to 501501 which will automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Fund to help with the relief efforts in Haiti and charges will be billed to your cell phone.

You can also go online to organizations like the Red Cross and Mercy Corps and YELE.ORG to make a contribution to the disaster relief efforts to help those survivors struggling in Haiti.
My condolences go out to all who have lost friends, family, loved ones and their homes in the 7.0 earthquake on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 in Haiti. God bless those who are left and RIP to those who lost their lives.

Thats, funny, all my jeans shrank too, even some of my shirts did! I like your idea about sneaking up on the diet thing, as well as in horse training. I train my horses that way, why don't I "train" my self that way? With our busy fast paced world, we exect that we can lose weight fast, and that we all need to look thin and trim and wear a size 0 jeans, within a week. I'm going to tryto do just as you say, take it easy and slow, sneak up on it.
Thanks for the inspiring words!
God Bless You

What a beautiful story with a special message we all need to be reminded of every now and again. Especially in today's disposable society, it's good to keep in mind that the commercial value is not the measure of true worth. Thank you for reminding us of that.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for this inspiring story. This is my third flake and so far I have looked forward to every one. :) Old horses do have so much to offer in their quiet wisdom and calm assurance that everything will work out. Seeing the old bay mare at my barn kick up her stiff heels and take off in a creaky canter to come get a carrot at the fence puts a smile on my face everytime. I just pray that the Lord will give me the same priceless grace, peace, and bearing that the old mare possesses, even after her long and trying life as a sport horse.

God bless!

Maureen, I appreciate your "Extra Flake" so much. I don't know how you do it though! Every day 5 days a week.:) I am praying for God to keep speaking through you. Thank you for sharing how you have been contemplating this for a while. I have also been "on the fence" about a ministry I feel God keeps bringing to my thoughts. Reading your story was great encouragement.
